When it comes to level design, a large part of my job entails creating a cohesive onboarding experience.
In order to accomplish this, I first listed out all of the mechanics that needed to be taught and created a sketch of the level.

Then, I implemented the finalized layout into Godot.
This level has been iterated on multiple times with the goal of creating the best possible onboarding experience. As you can see, elements have even been changed between the greybox and final implementation.

Throughout this entire process I worked closely with our boss designer to ensure that the layout worked well with Mini Minnow, the tutorial boss, as well as our lead programmer to ensure that the sequencing functioned smoothly.

Within the role of marketing lead, I am in charge of creating content for our Instagram and X accounts @BadBassGames, and keeping up engagement within our Discord server.
I have never filled a role similar to this one before, but I have been able to learn quickly and am very happy with the community engagement we have has so far.

Anticipated Steam release April 2025.

This post features the entire Bait & Tackle team at the conclusion of the Magic Makers program alongside a whiteboard displaying our company name, “Bad Bass Games”. This was our first post showing the faces of the creators behind Bait & Tackle, and meant a lot to us as a team.

September 2024, our team grew from six members, to nine. Within Bait & Tackle, newspapers are used to give the player information and further the narrative. This post is one of nine posts that were created to give our audience more information about each individual team member, while simultaneously connecting to the use of newspapers and presence of fish found throughout the game.

By maintaining good relationships with other game studios we have been given the opportunity to advertise through their accounts. This post, created by @RITMAGIC, highlighted the Bait & Tackle trailer for International Artists Day.
